One major component of each cGPS® Targeted Integration kit is the nuclease. The nuclease is delivered either as a DNA plasmid or mRNA, which constitutively expresses the enzyme.

According to cGPS® TI kits of interest to you, the nuclease included will be either a Meganuclease or a TALEN™, highly specific endonucleases cleaving long DNA recognition sites.

Another major component of each cGPS® TI kit is the engineered cell line. The cGPS® Cell Lines are engineered cell lines where a natural Landing Pad (LP1A or LP2), containing the natural Meganuclease recognition site, has been integrated at a single active chromosomal locus in a single copy for a precise and reproducible integration of genes.
