Improve relevance and reliability of your in vitro data

In the last years, improved in vitro models and relevant animal models have allowed Pharma companies to reduce the number of drugs failing preclinically due to poor pharmacokinetics from 40% to about 10%. Failures due to toxicology, however, are still in the 30% to 40% range, making it the number one reason for late preclinical attrition.

Why are we reaching such high attrition rate so late in the process?
Current animal models and in vitro models have been shown to be limited in terms of relevance and predictability when translated into humans. One main reason is the lack of relevance in the most commonly used in vitro models: non-human cell lines, immortalized cell lines, etc.

Cellectis bioresearch offers relevant models for ADME/Tox research, including stem cell-derived hepatocytes and cardiomyocytes.
